VEERANGANA AND BOYS HOSTEL SIKAR

1.            Veerangana Hostel had been constructed and divided in three blocks as follows:-

(a)  Block A - Adm Complex. That houses offices, reception in the front and accommodation for the warden in the back side of this block.

(b)  Block B - Boys Hostel. Here, classes/hall/rehabilitation centre are built in the basement and a total of thirteen rooms are there on ground and first floor for providing accommodation to a total number of 80 students.

(c)  Block C - War Widows Hostel. Here a total of 20, one BHK flats/ accommodation are available (07 each on Ground & First floor and 06 on Second Floor) to accommodate 20 in number Virangana Families.

2.            War Widows Hostel has been constructed and established in two phases. Construction of Boys Hostel and Adm Complex had been commenced in First Phase by PWD in Jan 2009 and completed in Nov 2011 at a total cost of    Rs. 213.22 Lakhs. Similarly, construction of Virangana Awash under Second Phase commenced by PWD, Sikar on 29 Dec 2014 and completed by   25 Oct 2016 at a total cost of Rs. 1,83,36,597 and handing/ taking over had been completed by 04 Nov 2016. The furnishing work of Virangana Awash has been undertaken by PWD, Sikar and got completed by Aug 2019.

The main aim and purpose of the Sanjhi Chhat is to provide accommodation to the War Widows with dependent children and to the Boys of age group between 15 to 25 years for their primary/ secondary education, UG and PG classes. The vacant accommodation can be considered for allotment to other categories of widows/ ESM if not filled by the war widows and dependent children of martyrs.

3.            The construction of Sanjhi Chhat had been undertaken by ZSKA, Sikar through PWD on the land allotted free of cost by the State Govt and fund jointly provided by the Central and Rajasthan Government.

4.            Purpose of allotment of Residential Flats to Viranganas and hostel rooms to boys should never be to resolve their accommodation related problems rather it should be aimed at providing them quality education. Serving Viranganas will not be provided accommodation in Sanjhi Chhat. Moreover, no accommodation/ admission will be provided to those who have availed accommodation for five years in any one of the Sanjhi Chhat.

The inauguration of Virangana Awash has been done by  Shri Pratap Singh Khachriyawas, Honorable Minister Transport and Sainik Kalyan, Govt of Rajasthan on 24 Dec 2019.
